This guy can flat out jam and him and the band just don't get enough love.

Jannick Top from Magma is another guy that really stunning and people need to know about.

And one last one. Mike Howlett from Gong is another guy that needs a little more of the spotlight.

A lot of players are actually underrated: a very few people name Fernando Saunders, that I consider one of the most expressive players (especially on the fretless)...another one is Ralph Armstrong (Jean Luc Ponty, Mahavishnu Orchestra ecc...).
Ric Fierabbracci is another really gifted player!

Hell, forgot to mention Mike Porcaro... a few people talk about him, but his lines are always world-class!

Carl Radle---I was glad to see a thread about him here recently.
Solid, great tone and feel, a truly "classic" type of bassist. When I was a teen, I was a prog-head, but thanks to my older brother, I'd go see Clapton, etc. and Radle was one of those guys that struck me with his elegant simplicity----I was like, "wow, this guy is playing BASS!"

Micc Todd- Coheed and Cambria. Hes very talented at a young age and I'm sure he will become recognized in the future. Give the band a listen, they grow on you and the bass playing does not disappoint.
