I will say Victor Bailey, i dont think he gets enough buzz around him for whatever reason, just listen to his solo albums , he really knows his bass.
John Giblin, amazing unsung fretless bassist from Britian, check out his playing with Brand X (phil collins was on drums).
Rick savage from def leppard, awesome rock groove, hairspray god and all round top bloke you coan go for a pint with and talk about footy (not that i know anything about sports in gebneral)
Louis Johnson, just amazing funkster, yea anyone can slap mindlesly to oblivion but can they groove? Probably not....
Paul Jackson, i dare you to go and listen to the 1970's headhunter live gigs and not be blown away by pauls killer grooves and silky soul feeling towards the deep sonic dimensions.....im getting all hippy now better chime out...
