Now Im going to have to go get a turntable, I have a ton of these Lps in my storage Closet, My vote for The Runaways. Angel,Didnt Zappa or someone do a song called Pynky Medows Lips?...The sweet always on my stereo through the 80s, even had Both versions of Destolation B. and Wink...British and us.

prolly my favorite band of all time.(If you can consider them "glam")They were right on the edge of the era before that pesky grunge came in. Things were starting to wind down as far as lipstick and hairspray go anyway though.

How can the original Alice Cooper Group not get half a mention on here?!? They basically invented glam and they weren't even from the U.K. Plus, Dennis Dunaway always had the most elaborately decorated and glittered up basses, like the "frog" EB0 and the "billion dollar" jazz bass....

You are right! AC predated many of the other bands here too. Man, Dennis Dunaway--that's some rock bass playing for ya . . . --1st album I bought with my own money was "Love it to Death" . . DD rules

The Sweet, Slade and T-Rex are all awesome bands, however I wouldn't neccessarily call the underrated.

AC/DC were primarily known as a glam band in the mid 70's in Australia, very underrated in their early Australian era glam rock guise
