Another vote for Cort. Just bought a new GB54JJ for around $275 and I'm very impressed with the quality.
Nice to see Vigier and Leduc getting a mention on TB. In Europe I think folks would have to hunt high and low to find a player who didn't rate either highly.

How are Gretsch Basses? I see their guitars all the time, but like never see a Gretsch Bass.
Additionally I like the Ibanez GSR200 as a stary bass. Peavy Milenium sounds like poopie, but you run over it with a Semi Truck and it'll still make noise.
I was just thinking of some of the oddball basses I’ve owned and loved over the years.

Finally, one of the best all-around basses I’ve ever had: the Yamaha Attitude Limited

It's kinda strange hearing Vigier described as "oddball",those things are well regarded over here. Fact is even buying one is hard. Most,of course, are in France and French owners prefer to trade Vigier for Vigier rather than sell
It's a different market here in Europe,there's still interest in American brands but they're no seen as the "be all and end of"

Vigier remains rare and quite expensive in the USA. Until Bumblefoot, they really weren’t on the radar much at all here.@LanEvo

It's no different here in the UK or in Germany for that matter

I would like to try out a Vigier, but they are nearly impossible to find in the US and they are a little pricey. Nifty looking basses.

I beg to differ. My Gordy Blueshift was built by the Gordon half of Gordon Smith,they were 2 people Gordon Whitham and John Smith. Course this was before Auden bought the business.
Never was much of a Fender or Gibson fan. I'll through a compliment at LTD, Ibanez, Schecter, and Carvin. There are lots more out there. These are the ones I'm familiar with.
