Hi Guys, I have a question about my bass. The action seems to be "uneven", on the frets near the headstock the action seems good for me and I don't have a hard time fretting some notes but as I go higher through the fretboard (nearer the body) the action seems to go higher and fretting notes need more work compared to the lower notes. Is that normal for basses?

I don't know the extent of how "uneven" your frets might be, but it's normal for there to be more distance between the string and frets as you move up (towards the bridge) the fretboard.
A 1/8 turn clockwise of the truss rod should bring down the action of the upper frets. Of course the rest of the setup will need attention.
