Univox Badazz bass -who made them?

Scrolling through ebay the other day, came across a Univox Badazz bass body and bridge up for bids.
The body was a dead ringer for the vintage Hagstroms altho routed much differently, even had a floating bridge like on the early Hags and Guild Starfires with the Bi-Sonic pickups.
I know Hagstrom made Kent instruments for a bit in the 60's, did they make a line of basses for Univox at one point? Supply parts to Univox?
More curios than anything. I ended up getting the bridge off the guy for a major reduction in shipping, told him he could keep the body. Really don't need another project.

Univox were made by Eko and/or Hagstrom for Jennings Musical Instruments - aka Vox. These, along with Burns and WEM were popular in Britain during the 60's because high tariffs made importing Fenders and Gibsons very expensive.

Univox products were made in Japan. They were not made by Eko or Hagstrom who's factories were in Italy and Sweden. Eko did manufacture some Vox products, but not all.
