unknown "Yorkville" amp...

Had one of these, but the older modoel with blue carpet. Best bang for the buck for a first real amp IMO.

I'm pretty sure it's an XM100. I think they came in either a 2x10 or 15, not sure about a 12...that could have been the xm50. Anywho, from what I recall they were pretty decent amps, a bit heavy by today's standards but what Traynor's aren't.

I'd say $150 is a good deal, see if he's willing to budge on price. I've played thought these a few times in the past and sort of wish I'd bought one.

I had one many moons ago with another 15" extension. Really beautiful combo for the price, the scoop knob is magic on it. Built like a tank too, absolutely bullet proof.

I have the BM400 - build like a tank and as heavy as one too. Great amp love the tone and lots of power never had it higher then 3. Totally undervalued amps I think

Hard to go wrong for that price. Should do just fine as a first/practice/small gigs amp.

+1 on the reliability/value comments. Traynor in general is fantastic, underrated gear.

Great practice amps, as others have said. I always found them to have a very modern scooped sound no matter how I EQed them... bright clear highs, and super clear bottom, but weak with the midrange growl, even on basses with aggressive midrange inherent to them. If you like the bright, clean, modern sound (which is great for private practice anyway, or even jamming with some acoustic guitars) I say go for it. The price is a steal anyway!

That is a good amp and sold for about $400 new. I have the 200w/210 version. A mellow 15 without a tweeter. -check for a blown speaker !
