Road House (Patrick Swayze & Sam Elliott) - the albatross that hung around Patrick Swayze's (RIP) neck throughout his career - despite the success of "Dirty Dancing" & "Ghost". Ben Gazarra's hammy & cheesy performance as the village villain is simultaneously hilarious - and unsettlingly sad.

Road House is one of those "so bad it's good" type of movies. It's the kind of movie you get a room full of friends together with some beer and watch while making MST3K-inspired snarky comments at the television. Plus, it has Jeff Healey.

However, from what I understand, the sequel is a big, steaming, runny, corn-filled turd.
But speaking of sequels, I have to vote for Ocean's 12. While not groundbreaking in story, I really enjoyed Ocean's 11. Yes, as a general rule, sequels aren't usually as good as the original, but Ocean's 12 was a textbook example of a bland, boring sequel with cliche writing. I can't even remember if I bothered to watch Ocean's 13.
I also had trouble watching Bourne Identity. I don't need Michael Bay explosions every three minutes to enjoy a movie, but I just hated the pacing of this flick. There was this tension throughout the whole movie that needed resolved - the type of tension that comes with an action scene. Then the movie ended, and I was still left unsatisfied. I didn't get why it was such a popular movie. I didn't even bother with the sequels.
As far as Spaceballs, it wasn't bad. For the most part, though, I'm not a Mel Brooks fan. I like "cheesy" comedy (I listen to the Prairie Home Companion), but most of Brooks' jokes fall flat on me. The Producers is really the only Brooks flick I would elect to watch.
