Update on hand problem

The surgery you had sounds like the percutaneous release, which wasn't offered to me. My option is either injection or fully open surgery with a six-week recovery. Not sure why the percutaneous release was not offered as it is what I had hoped to do.
The shot is far less invasive. Steroids have their own issues, but this sounds like a no-brainer to me. One shot vs. six weeks? What's to lose by going with the shot? Worst case, it works for a couple years, then you need another one or need surgery then from the sounds of things.
