I really admire those who are proficient in multiple languages. I'm still struggling with my first language. But I do speak Cisco IOS fairly well. I used to speak some Pearl and "C," but that's long forgotten. Oops, can't start a sentence with "But" either. Damn me!

I speak better C++ and C# than English... but my Objective C is somewhat less objectively objective than it oughtta be.

OP used a power strip that converts all kinds of plugs. According to all the discussion earlier in this thread, the power strip seems to be common in some asian countries and is extremely dangerous. There are pictures of it several pages back.

Bummer man, hope all is/has been made well. I at first was kind of into those TE Elf's now I have set my sights elsewhere, but not out of fear of having an issue.

I've used cabs out of combos where I pulled the entire amp and replaced with another (many times better!) amp. Sometimes upgraded the drivers in the cab as well. Works pretty well and much less than a completely new unit.

I’m a licensed Avionics tech that now maintains medical equipment... it’s likely the term we’re looking for is BER... Beyond economical repair... anything can be fixed... whether it’s worth the time and money to fix it is a part of the question of do we fix it.... the amount of effort you’re going to expend to fix this is going to outweigh the effort you’d expend to replace it... I get it, it sucks to cook a new piece of gear... just don’t drive yourself more crazy about it than you have to...

(If it’ll make you feel better, I recently made a mistake that costs 4x the price of your amp... and that was just misdiagnosing a fault, ordering a very expensive part for a portable X-ray machine, realizing my mistake before I even got the part installed but having to pay the 20% restocking fee to return the part... so yeh, troubleshooting electronics can get expensive!)

All of this reminds me of a theater I use to run sound at. They had what was called a "wild leg". It was 150 volts or so. Originally ran for an elevator. I always carried a volt ohm meter with me and always checked the voltage before I connected my distro. Thank God I did at this place or I could have ruined thousands of dollars of equipment.

As a positive person with a bubbly personality, I always look for the dark cloud lurking behind that silver lining. There is something for all of us to learn. I think that is, like cartoon marshmallows,

suggest you look at the eden wtx-264 will run on any voltage from 117-240 comes new with plug adapters

I've pulled (goodness knows where it went last time when the cabinet broke in half) amps from combos, and turned them into heads, so I could use my amp with other cabinets. More flexible, more than a money saver.
