For what it's worth, I love the blue version of this that I got. Sounds great, feels great. Mine had a slight bit of damage on the headstock, but nothing I was worried about at the price. Already had a Dean acoustic bass gig bag from another less-stellar fretless model I had for a while and this one fits it great. Steal of a deal at the price you got.

Thanks for the review- my Ibanez Acoustic has a buyer & the 2nd I have the cash I'm ordering the Dean! :hyper:

the Dean is on it's way back up. While it is pretty, I am not sure I will pull the trigger, was hoping to get an inbox discount.
FWIW, I bought one of these last year for around the same price. I returned it for a few reasons. The acoustic volume was low, even for an ABG, probably due to the reduced body size.

Additionally, I didn't care for the tortoise/pearloid binding as it obscured the side marker dots.

Other than that, it seemed well made for it's price range.

I think the acoustic volume is low partly because the finish on these is thiiiiiick. I mentioned earlier mine had some minor damage on the headstock. That was basically a chip off of it and the laquer on top of the color was literally about 1/8" thick. I don't try to play abg's unplugged, though, so acoustic volume isn't a big deal to me.

I dont think there is any rhyme or reason for there changes.. I did read there is some kind of computerized setup that changes things per shelf life, popularity, etc. Im sure you can expect some fluctuation with the holiday season approaching. My experience has been the really cheap stuff is simply reboxed B stock or customer returns. Ive encountered this about 4 times now. So buyer beware

Does anyone know anything about the "Fall Savings Event" that just started appearing on some items? It says "save 40% or more..." Is this off of list or marked price? When does it get applied? Has anyone tried it?

So I think I have part of the formula figured out. Price is back up to $400.

Very nice bass, and really wanted to pull the trigger, but just wouldn't be in that many situations to use it. I know another awesome deal will pop up so I'll do it when finances are just a tad bit better.

Anyway, Amazon also pulled the trigger on the price increase on a Peavey Millennium jazz bass I was following for a few days at 3 in inventory as well. It was $130 and went up to $240..Same with another bass I was following, another Peavey. I think 3 is the magic number, among other variables as well.
