Updated Amazon Deals

On a whim, I thought I'd see if anyone had pricing on the GK MB Fusion 800 yet. Third search result was Amazon, so I clicked it. Gearnuts is the seller and cut to the chase, I just ordered one for $349 with an estimated shipping date of tomorrow (and free shipping). EXCLAMATION POINT. So I seriously doubt I'll actually be shipped an MB Fusion 800, especially since the description mentioned a FET preamp (no mention of tubes), and the picture appeares to be a MB 800 (silver, not black), oh and never mind the fact that the MB Fusion 800 hasn't actually started shipping... Whatever. If the head that arrives (if anything actually ships and my order isn't canceled) turns out to be an MB 800, it is still a screaming deal!

BTW, other sellers shows amazon with a price of $899 for the fusion 800, no shipping date that I could see.

Just refreshed, and as of submitting this, there are 2 left if you care to roll the dice...

Edit: I just saw the following under Product Details:

Product Features
800 watts
All Tube Preamp with Dual Footswitcable Input Gain Adjustments
800 Watt digital power amp

This should be interesting. Will report back.

Picture when you go to buy it is a MB II combo a 110 or a 112 which goes for about $350 so I bet thats what you get!

I was about to order it, but didn't, my hesitation allowed Bob to grab it

Good luck guys, I think yall are getting the combo

As long as I don't have to pay return shipping for their screwup, no sweat. I bet you're right, the shipping weight is estimated at 61lbs for a roughly 5lb head (product dimension section says 12 x 11 x 2 inches ; 10 pounds).

ah, just refreshed, The $899 amazon deal now shows with "Usually ships within 2 to 5 months" just below the price. MSRP shows $1284.

I'll still happily take an MB 800 for $349... fingers crossed.

Thanks Bob,

I ordered it & then made sure to email myself a copy of what I bought...

I just wanted evidence if they say I knew what I was buying... clearly the picture shows a MB800 not a fusion 800 or a GK MBII 112

The email shows the MB800... the only time the combo popped up was final stage of checkout

if we talk about amazon....yes of course

Well, normally the deals here are direct from Amazon, as their items are the ones that fluctuate in price in such an unpredictable fashion, but occassionaly, as is the case here with the GK head, the third party marketplace sellers have some crazy deals as well (if it does indeed turn out to be the head and not the combo).

Just got an Amazon shipping confirmation email with tracking number for my "Gallien-Krueger MB Fusion 800 Bass Amplifier Head" No weight or other deets available yet from the tracking number...

I seem to recall seeing someone post on here or an MB800 or fEARful thread about snagging the MB800 for about 350 the week they started shipping from Amazon. Fingers crossed hard.

I have price alerts setup via Ookong, Camel Camel Camel, and Keepa- I'd say I get as many alerts about price drops on the stuff I watch from 3rd party sellers as on Amazon. If you use the Keepa browser extension, it inserts a price graph below the product pricing info which displays the price history. I find that very frequently the biggest dips on the chart are in the third party prices.
