Updated Southampton Fifth Gear

The original fifth gear is going to become highly sought after in its scarcity, leading Southampton to re-release it in one-knob micro enclosure format, but with an internal trim for master volume :D
IMO, there's room for both controls on top of the enclosure. it would just need the enclosure to be drilled differently and the PCB made to accommodate that.
I can't really see the use of having an internal trimmer for the master volume since it's something that you'd probably need/want to adjust often.

I'm just asking for a master volume on the small enclosure in any/every way I can, I've done the two traditional controls on the outside thing before :D

(but I also run my fifth gear at 10 and never touch it)

I bet with some very careful planning one could get the master volume on the outside of the little box... Maybe on the side, but it might just be doable.

Mine arrived this week. Just had time to try it today and it is awesome! I still have to fine tune my settings and that will have to come tomorrow I think. Anyway, I think I can get a lot more growl from the v2 with better volume control and more low end. It's like I can do that 9:30 sweet spot from the v1 but louder, dirtier, better. It is AWESOME.

Also, I had assumed it would be a 125B with top jacks, but it's a 1590b with top jacks. EVEN smaller. It is pure AWESOME!

Mine is somewhere between Chicago and my house! Can't wait!

The buzz really comes from the amp and guitar used. If you watch the video later on (after he goes into his description), you get more of an idea of what the pedal really sounds like. In the beginning, he is using the FG to do one of the things it is GREAT at, pushing your tube amp the way you want it pushed, whatever that might be :)
