Upgrading a cheap bass! Ibanez GSR105EX

I'm honestly surprised I've held onto this bass as long as I have, but I love the simplicity of it! One pickup, two knobs, durable black finish. Currently passive.

The fret ends got sharp recently, so I filed them down today. The tuners are fine, the bridge is fine. I will be dropping in an EMG 40PX-5 and replacing the cheap barrel jack with a better one.

Considering that I grabbed this bass for $150, it will still be less than $300 for everything!

How did your mod come out?

I'm seeing a cheap one too, and I'm in the market for a fiver.
The ones on my CL all have been active, and I'm a passive kindda guy.

I'm needing a 5er with as narrow a neck as I can get, and I heard Ibanez has this.
I've never own an Ibanez so a critique would be nice...057912
