Double Bass Upright setup in Northern NJ?

I have lived in Northern NJ for over 13 years and have looked hard. Haven't found anyone. There are some options in South Jersey and the Philly area. All the players I know in the Northern NJ area go to one of these: Jeff Bollbach in Freeport NY, Bill Merchant in the West 30's in Manhattan, Arnold Schnitzer in Brewster, NY, or David Gage on Walker Street in Tribeca.

Has anybody used Menzel violins in Livingston? They are listed on Bob Gollihars luthier list, but I don't know anything else.

Actually I know next to nothing about double bass. I've been playing EBG for about 20 years and just found a good deal on a West German Mathias Thoma upright. It's been a student bass for a while and needs a few specific things (broken endpin replacement, small separation of the top from the side). And could probably benefit from a general set up before I start lessons. On that note, does anyone know a good teacher near Long Valley, nj?
