LPB is lovely - nice bass. Curious - why the three-bolt neck on that one...?

I'm not the OP, but I love that bass...

It's got the three bolt neck because it's the Fender FSR 70's model. It's a reissue of sorts, and has the period correct neck attachment and pickup placement.

And it's sweet! Congrats!

UPS pulled up and I got her unboxed, etc. She's an American Vintage Reissue (Special Edition) made in 2003. Research says that 75 of these (in this color) were made for the U.S. market and 30 for overseas. She's stunning in person. Bass is in very good overall condition. She's pretty light-weight (I'm guessing between 8.5 and 9 lbs). Compares very favorably to some Fender Custom Shop basses I've owned and put my hands on.

Sounds amazing. The 70's pickup spacing is the shinizit. I need to give her a minor setup, etc (action is now medium-low).

Came with the original hardshell case and ALL the case-candy (Fender inspection sign-offs, Fender sticker, tags (including price), Fender sticker, manual, warranty, cord, strap, etc, etc, etc). The bag with the ashtrays, manual, keys, etc, etc is still sealed and I don't plan on opening it (as I don't really need anything in there). Winner-winner-chicken-dinner!!!!

Beautiful! I almost got the red version of this back in December. The guy selling it wanted more than I had in the budget and when I finally decided "what the hell I'm going to buy it anyway" it was gone. Nice score!
