UPS Has Arrived and This Rare-Bird is AWESOME!

UPS pulled up and I got her unboxed, etc. She's an American Vintage Reissue (Special Edition) made in 2003. Research says that 75 of these (in this color) were made for the U.S. market and 30 for overseas. She's stunning in person. Bass is in very good overall condition. She's pretty light-weight (I'm guessing between 8.5 and 9 lbs). Compares very favorably to some Fender Custom Shop basses I've owned and put my hands on.

Sounds amazing. The 70's pickup spacing is the shinizit. I need to give her a minor setup, etc (action is now medium-low).

Came with the original hardshell case and ALL the case-candy (Fender inspection sign-offs, Fender sticker, tags (including price), Fender sticker, manual, warranty, cord, strap, etc, etc, etc). The bag with the ashtrays, manual, keys, etc, etc is still sealed and I don't plan on opening it (as I don't really need anything in there). Winner-winner-chicken-dinner!!!!

Definitely one of the best Fender colors...matching headstock and block inlays put this one over the top!

Personally, the only thing I'd do is to put on the ashtrays, at least the one over the pickup. But I'm no doubt in the minority on that. Beautiful bass as is! Congrats!

Soooo, I was thinking about doing that, but I'm not sure that I want to break the seal open on that bag that has the covers and all the other stuff. I could just buy some from an online Fender dealer. I don't think that they are expensive...
