They are "Assembled in USA" which means they don't have enough US made parts in them to qualify for Made in USA status.
And the parts that are made in USA that would get them qualified are made from...raw materials imported from China.
We are a global phenomenon now - get used to it.
The Heritage B-15 has more USA-made parts in it than any other amp on the market that I know of. Other than a handful of resistors, 3 out of the 6 tubes, and maybe the wires and the wood, there's not much else in it that isn't made in America.
The Mesa Boogie Walkabout immediately comes to mind. I believe that Phil Jones and Genz make combo amps as well.

Don't shoot the messenger. There is a reason for the legal distinction between the two terms. I'm sure the execs at GK and Ampeg are happy to see people mislabeling their products as Made in USA, but it's unfair to Mesa, Eden, and others. It's also unfair to potential customers who would care about the distinction.
What bass combo amps are made in the USA?
I don't think there is a single person at GK you could call an "Exec". They just seem like just one big family.
GK seems to be in the midst of moving all production back to the US - for all their products. Not just special fringe cases.
Always with the shots. What's up with you, Jon? You used to be nice.
SWR Super Redhead
The only "Exec" is the man that started the company (first called GMT) Robert Gallien. Who still rolls up his sleeves, designs and tests the products with his name on them. All final product production ended at the G-K owned China plant on 12/31/2011.
You are very right in saying they are like one big family there. That is what can happen when an engineer owns and runs things instead of bean counters![]()
