Use Any Gimmicks at your gigs?

Buy some cheap percussion toys,....cowbell, maraca's, tambourines, etc,....drag the prettiest girls in the club up on stage to play them. The girls love it, they get to show off how hot they are,..the crowd loves it, they get to watch the hot girls,...the band loves it because the girls usually tend to rub themselves against the bandmembers,... it's a win situation all the way around. We NEVER take the stage without the percussion toys now.

Awesome idea.

I took that advise....which is good advice.....and bought some shakers that were bananas and cucumbers....nothing phallic about it.....The last gig, some hot little vixen ran off with my banana.

In a cover band from years ago, doing the song Jenny, Jenny (867-5309), we changed the number to our guitarist's number. (383-7155). It fit perfectly, and used to annoy him to no end. He was kind of socially inept, and it freaked him out. After a few weeks or so of doing this, it became the norm for the entire crowd to yell the chorus back to us using HIS number. Freaking hysterical. There was one night, at the big venue in our home city, where there were about 600 people there or so. I swear it sounded like the ENTIRE crowd was yelling back Jay's number to us.

That stuck for the remainder of the time the band was together. Jay eventually changed his number! :D

The chick I gave it too said she would mail it to us if they found it. I don't know if I could use that particular one live again if I got it back.

She probably took it home to share with her friends, as Ive heard stories of girls doing so...

My band is a trippy Improv rock band, I plan on buying a projector when I get my laptop. I edit video and Im going to make some awesome visuals to go with our lights & fog.

Tru dat!!
Most people freak when you buy liquor at the grocery stores. When I lived in Texas for a while, I asked where the Jim Beam was. The lady at the grocery store looked at me and said, "At the liquor store.....you must be from Louisiana." You really can't beat the drive through daiquiri shops either!!

First time I saw the Bag of Donuts some girl told me to hold on to my empty cup. After the third song I found out why. Singer poured me a full cup of Jack Daniels and they kept coming. I remember ending up on Bourbon Street and getting into a fight and waking up two states over to the East (Alabama) same girl naked on top of me. God bless them Alabama High School teachers. Edit: God bless all southern teachers for that matter.

Just an FYI, married men need VERY supportive and understanding wives if they think they can pull this off. I know if my wife saw some club hottie rubbin her tatas on me I'd never hear the end of it. :scowl:

Still, totally worth it. :D
