USPS Parcels In UK

Hi,

A couple of weks ago i bought a beautiful 52' Fender Precision Bass RI from the US on eBay. Anyway i've been checking my tracking code eagerly over and over and today it says...

We attempted to deliver your item in GREAT BRITAIN at 7:11 AM on October 24, 2007.

Ok two things with this:
*Its a bit early for delivery isn't it? (Unless in US time)
*They left NO We tried to deliver this parcel today...

So how do i get in contact to finally get my bass?

Does anyone know who does the deliveries this side of the pond for USPS is it the Royal Mail?

Hi, its parcelforce, they handle customs and vat charges and will write to you before release of goods, also you can go to Invalid Link Removed and enter the usps number to track uk movement, it usually say, waiting customs clearance then in the international hub, then at depot awaiting payments. regards, nig.

I had the 'Charges' Letter come through.. £68!!!!!!!!!!

£8 for 'Parcelforce charges' WHAT THE !?!?

I'm well pissed off haha

oh well still cheaper than one from over here!

It's nearly all Customs charges - PF have to pay them for storing it until they pick it up!

Yup.

VAT, Import tax, handling fees.

On saying that tho, cant be that bad if it came to under £100 , think about how much that bass would have cost in Sound Control or something!
