Do Valenti basses sound anything and feel anything like Sadowskys?

They do have certain similarities in feel, fit&finish as well as tone.

At the risk of upsetting all of the Sadowsky-ites here at TB, I think the Valenti's are actually the nicer bass. Once again, I had the opportunity to A/B these basses back-to-back at the NYC GTG and the Valenti's are, IMO, the winner.

I don't own either of the brands since I don't play 4's or 5's, but when the day comes that I'm really needing a 5, Nino will absolutely get the call .....

And while I've never played an NYC model, I can say this bass was far superior to the Metro MV5 I played a while back. Nino has a great thing going here!! I doubt you'll be disapointed if you ordered one from him.

I was trying to not call a winner... they are both great bass builders.

I was debating on selling my fretless in order to purchase an American Fender then replace the fingerboard. Until someone pointed out.

Last year's GTG I got to compare Valenti's to Sadowsky's and liked them both very much. Dollar for dollar though, the Valenti's take the cake.

Nino will be seeing some business from me one day.

No, I do not do any finishing.

No. Nino buys bodies from USA Custom Guitars and their finisher does them. Nino assembles basses, sets them up and wires them.

As much as I like Nino and Respect his work they dont feel or sound like a Sadowsky bass to me. The Borg CNC Nino's bodies and necks so you will get consistant quality.
