Value of a vintage Gibson Ripper

Hi all.

What would be the value today of a 1973 natural-maple Ripper Bass? Can't find many on the Net so it's hard to evaluate (they only made 20 that year I think).

In good condition with case I would say $800-$999.

See if any are selling on ebay. You may want to do an "Advanced Search" to see what others have sold for. This should give you a good idea of what a buyer will pay. Hope this helps.

Its a buyers market right now. I wouldn't sell unless I really needed the money. I've seen them go for as low as 600 in really beat up shape but as high as 1400 in mint condition. For a well kept player I'd say 900 to 1000 seems about right.
