We are located in Weston Florida (way out west of Fort Lauderdale near the Everglades).

This may change in the future.

I have lived in South Florida since the mid 70s --- long story short, this is not the same place it was 30 years ago.
Yeah..... everyplace changes with time, but the amount of change here is beyond comprehension.

Orange groves, cattle, horses that used to cover this region are all gone.
Population and urban growth has boomed from 1 million to 6 million people in those 30 years.
This is more like the east coast version of Los Angeles today.

My wife and I decided "our Florida" was dead and gone and decided it was time to start thinking about the next 30 years.

We ended up buying mountain acreage up North with plans to move to secluded isolation when things all come together.

I asked about location more on the grounds of shipping times / costs than anything else. Good luck on your secluded isolation! Thanks again for the response time. Hopefully I'll be sending some money your way sometime soon.

I've been jonesing for a jazz bass lately. Had to be white (preferably oly white) with bound and blocked rosewood fingerboard, with the jack on the side. I really dislike front jacks in general. And hey, that White Swing model fits the bill pretty well!

Cannot wait to hear some reviews on these. Maybe some sound clips would be nice to....

VERY interested in that GFJ, especially in the burst finish.

I anticipate adding #7 to the stable after the 1st of the year and now I have a new contender!!:hyper:

Is that GFJ going to be available as a 4 also, or strictly as a 5?

I dont use 5ers all that much and I already have 2, so another 4 is more what I need. Especially a Jazz-type because my Carvin is the closest thing I own to that style.

A quick question for Mike if he sees this...

I know you were mentioning that the Swing and Silverado bassses would be equipped with some new style pickups come December. I was just wondering if you could maybe elaborate some on the differences between the current sets and the upcoming sets. What should we expect in terms of the difference in tone?

Hello all,
Answering some comments from above...

1) I plan to make some demo videos for all products in the weeks ahead. Demos and Close up video to show construction details.

2) The new pickups are based on what Frudua used to install on some of his custom models. I have not seen or heard them yet -- probably arriving here in December, so I can't comment on their tone yet.

3) 41 hz is indeed around low E (E string on guitar is around 82) the fact however is that only better quality stereos produce frequency that low --- ignoring of course the annoying subharmonic bass crap you hear thumping these days people try to label as music ---- However, the Harmonics for the E go from there ... 41, 82, 164, etc...

Indeed in rock and pop music many producers filter off much of the frequencies below 50 hz to avoid rumble and using up energy on the track better saved for audible 80-16K range that makes up 90% of the song.
