Vasectomy

I had one after our third child about 33 years ago. The thing I remember most is sitting in the recovery room after the procedure. They wheeled in another guy who had just had one done as well.

He looked over at me and nodded. In the highest, squeaky-est voice I could muster, I said, "Hey man, how ya' doin?" I could see by the look on his face that I had scared the living **** out of him; so I laughed & said, "It's okay man, I'm just ****ing with ya'!" We both got a good laugh out of it. :D

But back on topic to the OP, my sex life actually got better after that because I wasn't worried about getting my wife pregnant again. Three were enough...

I had it done a few years ago because I was just getting scared of sleeping with women because I have no kids, want no kids, and was thinking of how I had pushed my luck for fa too long. My cycling buddy is also a lawyer, so I hear all the child support horror stories. I had mine done at 48 or 49. I drove home myself- clutch in a Mustang. I did not ice- Dr. said not to unless I was in pain. I was back to cycling in less than a week. No trouble at all.

Orgasms were a bit different for a few weeks.

It was strange, however, having the doctor punching a hole in my ball sack saying, "So, you work out?"

From a dating stand-point? Girls love it! My current GF did not want to get back on the pill or anything. When we had that talk, she said, "Right answer!"

FWIW, my dad told me that after he had one, his orgasms became stronger. Don't know if there is any truth to that across the board, but that's what he told me.

That is definitely that last conversation I would like to have with my father. Thankfully my dad is that guy that blushes when forced to buy tampons, so it won't come up.

Did your orgasms become stronger?

DUH - wasn't worried about the fallout of his "friendly fire" anymore. :)

I had one and it got kind of messed up. I show up, did the pre-shave. Dr. wonders if a colleague can watch his technique, I figure why not. Deal is nowadays they snip and suture or snip and cauterize(burn) the end of the tubes. He does one side then drops the cauterizing tool. After unsuccessfully searching for a clean one declares, "that should be fine". After a year of taking back "samples" that had a very healthy swim rate I gave up. The (then) wife got pregnant, then had a miscarriage, THEN got her tubes tied. That was 18 years ago...I am assuming I am as "deadly" as a man with a double-barrel shotgun, even if only one barrel is loaded.:atoz:

The discomfort was minimal. Snuggle up to a sack of frozen peas - they conform nicely. A package of your favorite cold beverage to settle your nerves. Few days and you will hardly remember it.

Isn't the sperm in the fluid?

How can you have fluid with out the sperm?
Dude, only like one small drop of actual sperm in that liquid. MAjority is made in another gland. Your dad should have explained this. :)

Semen, also known as seminal fluid, is an organic fluid that may contain spermatozoa. Semen is produced and originates from the seminal vesicle, which is located in the pelvis.

tastybasslines - I think the orgasms are the same. At first I fretted that it might not be the same, actually sort of was telling myself it wasn't. Then after a particularly explosive event decided nothing had been lost twas all in my head. Haven't worried about it since. Women seems to consider it very sexy - you get one and you should be prepared to get more. No worries.
