"Meet George Jetson...His boy Elroy...Jane, his wife..."how about a metal (finished) bass?

My guess is: "Because."why is the jack rear mounted?
Cool bass, but I bet the fiver will be even cooler! Looking forward to that build thread.
Xtender pickups sound awesome. Very plain and powerful but not overly colored.
Cool, none oft these pics did I find mind blowing, rather a niche scene. Now you take unique builds, and make many models all with varying but high quality insides, you'd have a line that could grow with respect.
why is the jack rear mounted?
I love both of the Goldie's on the Best Bass Gear page. Is the other goldie one of your builds as well?
Pretty cool how you incorporated the '51 precision bridge cover into your futuristic design. A nod to Leo I assume?
Thanks!
Whoa--this is you? You made this? Duuuude. I honest to bob hardly ever see modern "out there" designs that I like. To me, too much ends up looking either shredmetally or almost TOO organic like a big burl tree knot with funky appendages, etc.
But this...has (to me) just the right elements of retro + futuristic for my tastes. The word awesome is thrown around way too much but...awesome.
I hope this doesn't offend you, but while your work clearly has its own aesthetic and is unique, that bass reminds me a little of some of John Blacklund's guitar designs, if you are familiar with his stuff. Blacklunds are a little heavier on the retro though...more like an old 50s hot rod sorta thing.
I think your design is, in a way, more timeless. Very classy, but cool and new. IMO, could fit in well (visually speaking) with all kinds of genres...
I'm a traditional kind of guy. P bass is my staple.
Phew! That's out of the way.
Now...I really like JIO's bass design. In fact I find it very tantalizing. And as for the metallized version? I'd steampunk that puppy.
I like certain aspects of retro, but tend to skirt it because it can easily slip into kitsch.
