Anyways.. Just saying, even after reading all this about the old kings, this just still does not fit. and I said that at the beginning. There is just something different about it.

I'm no expert, but isn't the tuner plate on King Moretone basses rounded/concave on the bottom edge?
Is the fact that the bottom edge of the tuner plate not lined to the headstock an indication that those are not the original tuners? (or, less likely, poor workmanship?)

pretty sweet deal!Last year in my Rare Kay TV-1 thread you had encouraged me to put some photos in to a photobucket slide show that lit the fire for me to learn how to use photobucket and our new web site is an outgrowth from that experience. If you havent checked our website, there are hundreds of picture of vintage plywoods in photobucket to look at so thanks to you for the kick in the pants to do something with all our photos we love the vintage plywoods.
I have no reservations in sharing my dirty, old, plywood bass knowledge here at Talk Bass with the jazzers and carved club last time I checked music was an equal opportunity. Choice of music style or gender does not matter.

Does anyone here have a problem with me playing the organ? Lets leave it at this- I care more for any pipe organ than a bass. I would ditch a Prescott for a pipe organ. Is that a problem? No I do not have 1 million dollars for a pipe organ. You don't like what I do, well I do not like you.
The organ is my main instrument, and I give the organ world much more respect. At least they care about other organist and support me. You people just aren't very nice and don't seem to care for anyone

I think we'd all do well to take a cue from Molly here and post by way of sharing information about the instrument we love instead of trying to score points and belittle others (Molly, not trying to embarrass you, but you are such a great internet role model that I can't help but point that out from time to time). If anyone's behavior is, shall we say, "lacking in substance" but within the rules of the forum, there's really no need to exacerbate the situation by pointing out the lack of substance in a rude way. As Dono is fond of saying when something severely lacking in substance or logic is posted, "Res ipsa loquitur".
On the other hand, when forum rules are being broken, please report the post in question and help your friendly neighborhood moderators nip the situation in the bud before a full blown ****storm has a chance to erupt.

We got a new organ in St. Joseph's Cathedral a couple years ago. It's simply stunning. Coupled with that fantastic semi pro choir they have it makes services very palatable.
They had just got it going when we had Vincent baptized there. He loves it. Won't make a sound when it's playing.
He doesn't have near as much patience for priests.

uncle toad- I have actually had the opportunity to play this organ with my former organ teacher.
Also did I get to play- The organ at St. Sulpice in Paris. One of the worlds most famous organs.
