Very Sad News Today! re: Joegeezer

As I mentioned to Alvera, I only met Joe the one time in person (of course it was to deliver bass gear), but he made a lasting impression on me. We talked and noodled for hours that day, from everything about Harleys to early Minnesota music scene, to families ... saw several of Joes pictures, and made an instant bond. Joe was a very proud of what he accomplished in life, and very accepting of where he was now at ... he lived to talk of his passions, and for his wife ... one of the last emails I received from Joe, was when he was facing yet another surgery that may permanently affect his ability to play bass ... He told me how he had asked God to please not take away one of the only things he had left ... Joe was a strong Christian man, and the bible tells us of all the music in heaven, so Joe is indeed in his element ... and no longer with that old broken down body, he is at peace ... Joe will be missed, but not forgotten for sure ... what more can you say about a guy that kept a donkey around, just to keep the wolves and coyotes away from his property ... :)

If any from Talk Bass are able to make it to the services, we should try meet with each other ...

Joe bought a bass from me a few years back. He was a stand
up guy and a true gentleman. There are worse ways to go than
peacefully in sleep so I am thankful to hear that.

I will miss seeing his posts and that funky hill climbing avatar.
RIP bro.
