I've come across so many narrow-minded musicians who don't even realize it it's not funny. They're much happier dwelling on what they don't like than simply enjoying what they do.

would've sounded close to the same as I'm 99.9999% sure what we heard out of the TV was either:
a) house DI
b) Vic's DI and not the head either...
unless he reeeeeally impressed the house sound guy.
It is funny though that this thread has turned into a "Luv Victa // Hate Victa" thread and there's hardly been any mention of the HyDrive stack he's using... I wonder if there'd be more ooo's and ahh's and discussion if he was using some TB "House Brands"![]()
I liked Vic's playing in that but I agree with whoever said it earlier that its sad they kinda had to play some gimmicky stuff to get exposure.
I saw this in a few posts, I don't get why exposure is such a bad thing. Part of music is about communication, and to me they were communicating. Victor received a big applause after his solo, as far as I'm concerned the more people that realize how hip our instrument is, the better.![]()
Im just think its sad that it takes them playing a goofy gimmicky song for people to realize how legit jazz is.
I didnt say that exposure was a bad thing. Exposure is great! Im just think its sad that it takes them playing a goofy gimmicky song for people to realize how legit jazz is.

Looks more like he slides a hairband from behind the nut to mute during the double thumbing bit that follows to me.
Now on Youtube for "wrong location" folks like myself....

I notice one of the earlier posts mentioned a capo? Looks more like he slides a hairband from behind the nut to mute during the double thumbing bit that follows to me.
Cheers

To each his own opinion of course but I didn't hear "noise and wanking" I heard a tightly arranged song.Yuck. That was just a whole bunch of pointless noise and wanking to me, no heart or soul.
I prefer this Flecktones performance much more.
