the seller is Ricky from the trailer park boys, the pickups are wax potted with weed resin

Certainly a possibility. Couldn't we solve for that by asking for a quick video call with the seller? We have the technology.

We could, but I'm not going to try to police the internet. If it's been pointed out that the bass is listed in more than one place and they still want to believe that they're getting a bargain, there isn't anything that's going to stop that desire for a bargain.

Right, but the point is that interested party could check on it with a minimal amount of effort (not to mention that TB is a little alarmist and will scream "SCAM! COUNTERFEIT" if a bass has faded logos, a replaced pickguard, illegal strings, not enough rings in the body wood, smells a little garlicky, etc).
