Vintage EVM 15L Spreakers worth anything?

I have my old two 15 cab, loaded with EVM 15L speakers. 100W each. They were reconed once around 1979 or 80. They still work. Are they worth the hassle of selling, or are they trash?

Personally I'd post it for sale on your local Craigslist for cheap or for free (that will make things disappear quickly)

They were definitely my favorite through the eighties into the nineties, before I switched to 410s. Which was a mistake, but fashion is what fashion is.

Having them rated at 200+ watts makes a lot of sense, because I was playing them truly loud with no damage. The reconing - that was done before I bought them, second hand.

I've never heard of a 100 watt EVM 15L, I believe they were rated about 250 watts. ... These are great speakers loaded into a single TL cabinet. ... I have a 3/4" Maple EV 12" TL cab that maybe be heavy, 50 lbs, but it's amazingly clear and punchy. ...

I was amazed how much better Trace Elliot sounded with EVs rather than the usual junk they used. I disliked the amps but I obtained their 1152 wedge monitor and fitted it with a reconed EVM 15L, and got myself a heavy but compact cab. Easy to carry, and clear and efficient. I used a EVM 12S as a second cab.

Best suggestion: Split them into 2 cabs, or donate them as the BDPLAID Memorial Speakers.

The original EVM-15 which was an offshoot of the SRO-15 was rated at 100 watts (RMS).

The ProLine is the same driver as the Series 2 but with a coated VC, the way the rating numbers were derived is different. My experience is that the ProLine is good mechanically for about 250-300 watts with a suitable HPF.
