Hi,
I am really fascinated with Greco basses. These were the best Fender, Gibson and Rick copies made by Japanese luthiers before the Fender guys told them to shut down or else.... Then in 1982, because of their outstanding talent, Fender commissioned them to manufacture MIJ Fender. According to my research, the best Greco basses were those made from 1978-1982. In fact the quality was so high that even the Fender representatives from US went "crying" because the Japanese guys were doing what the Fender guys in the US cannot do. So these Greco basses can now be classified as vintage. I don't know about the price of vintage basses made from 1978-1982. I saw one Greco P Bass copy selling for $200. Everything is stock. The serial number says it was made in 1981. I really want to buy it. Should I go?
