Besides the Ibanez RoadstEr from the early '80s, do you know of other P-style basses that come in "vintage" colours (sunburst or natural preferred)?
I like the advantage of having more room to place my thumb on the pickup when playing fingerstyle.
I'm also considering getting a maple/sunburst Fender P, and remove the pickguard, but it seems most (?) P-bodies have a large route to the pickups making it look very ugly.
Any recommendations?
