Vintage Modified ... Modified

I think the problem is not only in the position of pole pieces but in the size of the coils and bar magnets which are too narrow, creating too narrow magnetic field. I've tried to raise the G and E adjusters, it doesn't help much even with the poles nearly touching the E it has always this volume drop.
