Abingdon, VA! I live in Southwestern Virginia about 10 miles from the VA/TN line. This is the part of Virginia that doesn't exist to other Virginians east of the mountains - at least that is what I have heard.
Any Nascar fans familiar with BRISTOL Raceway??????? The race track is about 40 minutes away from me. I would be excited about it if I were into Nascar. 
Marion is the closet location to me I have seen posted in this thread. Wise isn't too far either.

Sounds good to me. What's you bag...classic rock, death metal, C/W, R&B, polkas, southern rock, new wave, punk, etc.? I'm sure the Richmondites can suggest the appropriate venues.
Speaking of which...I'll be at All Saints' Episcopal Church on River Rd. on May 31st for my cousin's (Martha Cosgrove) wedding. I need hotel recommendations or, better yet, let me come stay at your house.
