VM Jaguar question

Good morning,

I'm looking into getting my son a Jaguar bass. He likes the Classic vibe but wants regular scale length. I discovered the Squier Vintage Modified, which has an active "bass boost". When the "BB" is all the way off is it in full passive mode?...and will it run without a battery.

Hi. I have this bass in black. The bass will not work without a battery regardless of where the boost is set. Always unplug the bass when not in use to avoid draining the battery.
It's a great bass.

Thanks, I have to edit my post... I meant if the BassBoost is all the way off is the bass if full 'passive' mode?

Ah. Gotcha. I would say no, even with the dial turn all the way down the sound is still going through the preamp.
I could be wrong and someone will correct me but to my best knowledge it's always on active.

Hi guys, I just bought one of these, body and neck separately, and the owner did a mod to the pickups and wiring, but I want to put it back to the original circuitry. I have all of the parts, but have no idea how it all goes together. Anyone care to do me a solid and take photos of the wiring? A schematic would be even better, but i have scoured the net myself and come up with nothing on this particular one. Thanks in advance for any help guys!
