Volume jump when fuzz gets filtered? Carcosa and Source Audio

I have a Carcosa fuzz that I am extremely happy with. But there is a very odd thing happening. After the Carcosa I have a Source Audio chain of effects. Orbital Modulator into Manta Filter into Dimension Reverb. Everytime I engage any of the source audio effects with the Carcosa running I get a huge volume spike. I run a Boneshaker in front of the Carcosa and I get the volume spike regardless of whether the Boneshaker is on or off. I don't get the same volume spike with the Boneshaker by itself or a clean bass signal. I am at a loss as to what would cause this. Anyone have any ideas or experience the same thing? Or have a similar setup and not experience the same thing?

I wonder if it isn't an issue of actual vs apparent volume. Any chance your Carcosa is above unity for the rest of your chain?

It sounds like unity without and of the modulation or delay effects. I don't really hear it on the practice amp at home but I am at a much lower volume. Maybe the practice room is having some kind of acoustic effect? We are playing a show tonight and I will play around during sound check.

So at the show Saturday I found the same volume jump at the bar. Went home and realized I had the power daisy chained between the Carcosa and the Orbital Modulator. While there is plenty of mA's available on that circuit it's still a variable that should be eliminated. I need to play through the big rig to see if there is a difference. I will update for the morbidly curious.
