I'm trying to find some information regarding the combination of these two pedals with the rest of my rig. I think it'd be easiest to tell you what I have set up in my rig first:
From Start to End
-Rickenbacker 4003s5 / Traben Phoenix 5
-Shure PGX 14 Wireless
-Korg Pitchblack Tuner
-Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
------- (Looped) EHX Nano Steel Leather
-Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive
-Mesa M9 Carbine Head through a Vintage Powerhouse 6x10' Cab
Now, at the end of my normal effects chain (Between the Overdrive/Amp), I am interested in putting in a setup like this:
Loop Pedal to run:
EHX Bass Big Muff Pi
Morley Power Wah
This is mainly for me to use in lead sections. I have used Distortion Pedals/Wah pedals before in this rig that I have borrowed from friends, and I have come up with the same problem that when I run the Wah and Distortion, my level significantly decreases. It is not a power or a cable issue, as I am running independant daisy chains and I have enough current to power the pedals.
I am fairly certain I will be purchasing a Morley Power Wah to run with the EHX Bass Big Muff Pi, but I am afraid I am going to have the same issue.
Now, to my main question, if the decibel cut still prevails, would it be worth throwing in a boost pedal such as the Morley Buffer Boost (or another you could recommend) in the Dist/Wah loop just to boost those when needed?
All 3 of these pedals will always be on but I will bypass them when not needed through the use of the loop pedal.
If you could help me out it'd be appreciated
