Waiving The White Flag Of Surrender

I look forward to the saga.......

...oh, and I give it 90 days.......... ;)

Interesting comment seeing my last two bands lasted over a year, the average life span of an originals band.

Both bands broke up. I have yet to quit a band.

Jealousy from the wanna bees. I guess. It goes with the territory.

Haven't they been doing that for like 3 weeks now?!? :p

Just razzin ya man, good deal landing the spot! Hope it's all you want it to be, and that you get back on stage quick!

I'm happy about it. I had seen the band perform a few times earlier this year.

I introduced myself to the lead guitarist and we had been exchanging E-mail discussing band issues.

When I told him 2MorrowEvrAfter had broken up and that I was out looking for band again, he said we should talk.

My first rehearsal with them was;

Productive

Organized

Fast Paced

I have my first formal rehearsal with the new band this week. My goal is to nail the first set.

I will keep everyone updated and chronicle this experience.

I think it might be of value to anyone in between bands and going through the dreadful audition process.

.

Why exactly do you think this? What makes this situation so special?

Just sort of documenting what happens after you join a band.

It's not special but I believe this type of story has value.

-1 for busmandan, +1 for Blue.

I've read hundreds of threads over the years about TB'rs quitting bands, starting bands, getting fired from bands, thinking about quitting bands, thinking about firing a band member, etc. etc. No one ever asked intimated that they were "special" for posting about their situation.

IMO, there's no need to start asking Blue to defend his own thread. :atoz:

I suggest Bus start his own thread about "What makes your band management situation so special that you think you have to post about it on TB?"
