From my understanding the preamps for the fretless and fretted are tweaked a little different.

I definitely heard a difference. Seemed like the fretless wasn't as aggressive.

Wow, that is gorgeous! Add another string on there and I'd be away with it! I dig the little scuff mark beneath the neck pickup too, nice to see that bass has been well played!

Speaking of delicious tops...Does any of the other Wal-nuts remember Micheal Bell's Tigerwood MkI? That one is my all-time favorite and I sure wish I could see it again!

The fretless is probably my favorite of the ones I played. The LEDs on the Turq. one are killer!
Here's me at a get together playing one of them.........the other bass player was a killer player hence my "looking at him intently" look..........I can't thank Hippiesandwich enough for having let me play his wals........
