I've always loved the Geddy MK2My hero Geddy ! And his Red Wal ! That was the reason I bought my first (Red MKII) Wal on early 90s ! Bellow a pic from 2013.
For a GTG, i could probably convince a couple people near me to come, bringing a total of 7 Wals
Doesn't Steve Chesney live near Miami. Obviously none of us could play his, but it would be fun to see who could! I'd go to a GTG, too. How about Iceland? Yes, between Steve Chesney and PJ, about 1/3 of the North American Wal content is in Florida!

I can be anywhere Wal happens. Just has to be after September. Otherwise I'd just be lurking without one of my own and making everyone uncomfortable.

I really want an Asian Ebony top MKII with birdseye maple FB and black block inlays . I know that Paul will not make it anymore... but I hope one day he changes his mind. I have some nice woods and I could ship them to Paul to a new bass. I'm thinking about it.But I have to sell some bass first.
Can you image a MKII using these top woods bellow ?

The Ebony looks KILLER. Imagine a gloss finish on that....
PJ, that is some awesome wood!! Aside from the bird's eye fingerboard, Paul won't build a body for you using that Asian ebony?
BTW, PJ can probably answer that question best regarding the previous topic of tonal difference of wood since all his Wal's are strung up with Elixir's.

That would be amazing if you could! I am a finger style and occasional pick player, but almost all aggressive finger style. I'm typically looking for the grindiest tone I can get, so it's usually both filters open and pulled. I am out I town for a week, but I would gladly do a similar recording when I get back home so that we could compare! No rush of course, but I really appreciate the offer if you have a chance.
