Hi all,
got my new Wal bass last Wednesday and it smokes. My white one has been played a lot since I got it new in July last year.
Just fantastic basses. And Paul is a luthier-god
Gorgeous basses! Do you know how much each weigh? While I ponder the thought of a Wal, I'd like to keep the weight down.

Yeah you're right about the MK1. My eyeballs couldn't get away from the all white n gold glory.
The white wal with the solid Spanish zedar body and the ebony board weighs 4.3 kgs and the sycamore one with the traditional mahogany core and rosewood board 4.7 kgs.

Yeah, wee need to see several angles of the black finished neck on the sycamore body. Looks great do far.

I actually acquired this two months ago. I've only been off my "ramen-only" diet for a week or two.
It has been worth it, though. It was pure bliss the first time I had her in my arms. Absolutely EVERYTHING I expected and more. I have been completely blown away by this bass. My only complaint is that I now have massive GAS for a fretless one, too.

Thank you for the kind words and best wishes for a happy Thanksgiving to you too (you're in Canada too, I suspect). I've been remiss in keeping my blog up to date, but I'll clearly need to update the Wal gallery section soon. There are so many beautiful Wal basses here (including yours) that should be featured.
