Hey you bought that one....nice. I remember seeing this pic. What part of Canada are you in?
Toronno - as we say in the GTA...

Nice....Im just outside of Hamilton. What kind of music will you be playing with the Wal?
Let me know if you want a set-up up done on it when it arrives.

Thanks Dude,
I'll be attempting to play many things - hopefully squeezing out some tasty Wal tones that approach Geddy's or Justin's
It might need more than a set-up & was thinking to look up Mike Spicer (Peg Head / Guitar Clinic) or Possibly Fred Gabrsek (Freddy's Frets) for some refinishing quotes...

eeeek!.... refinishing will sadly reduce the value of your Wal.... especially the more "timeline-revered" ones like yours. Unless it has already been changed (did it start out this color green?)...but if its original i wouldnt touch it (scratches and dings and all)
I dont think anyone in this area has done the "tinkering" needed to get the sounds you will be looking for on your Wal, more than i have. Plus my cost would be a little over half of what they would charge. I could do it while you wait and not have to leave your bass there for a week.....
If it didnt start out green and your real serious about re-finishing it...i can take you to meet George @ FBass for a quote....i dont think there would be anyone within 500 miles of here that would do a better job than him. I basically live about 15min from the factory/head office.

I saw that one for sale. It looks mostly blue on both my home and work computers. Pretty much the same MkII as Flea's from the Blood Sugar album (slightly darker blue body, natural headstock).
I don't see any need for refinishing because it still looks really good. From the registry there have been many of them refinished (as well as some defretted or converted to fretted), and the ones that sold didn't seem to affect value...this isn't a Fender boys. But that blue bass looks great as-is.
Pic is from Today, these should arrive shortly.![]()
