I wrote an email to him just twenty minutes ago and this was his reply:

Hello,

I still have for sale the Rare Wal Fretless Bass Guitar for the price of $1,500.00. From the start I want to inform you that I left a couple of days ago and came to United Kingdom. I work with "Save The Children Foundation" and I had to come here, where I will have to stay for the next 6 months. I thought I will be able to sell it before I leave, but it didn't happened. And I had to take it with me because I had no place to leave it there.

If you still want to buy it, I think that if we use an escrow shipping company will be the best and safest for both of us (I will pay all shipping fees). If you do not want to buy it, I totally understand you. Let me know.

Ok I got a response!...so it answers one question but still leaves my head scratching at the price

it read as follows

I am glad that you want to buy it. I will pay all shipping fees and escrow fees just because it is my fault we will have to do it like this. I used in the past and I suggest we use now a very good escrow shipping company which is called Elite Courier. It is a UK company but they work internationally. Their shipping fees are low, very fast delivery and the only escrow company that will offer a 10 days inspection period of the merchandise before you decide if you want to buy it or not. If you need more details, let me know.

Oh man - this thread is giving me serious GAS that I can no way afford right now. I've wanted a Wal bass (or, more accurately, at least two of them) for years.

The Geddy is still my favorite sounding one. The solid mahog body just gives it that extra ounce of depth. So it probably isn't going anywhere! :D

The midi is a crazy bass, tracks excellent and opens up a whole different world with sound generators.

Thanks for the compliment, you are very kind..
It is just a regular D-SLR, stuck on a tripod, and the bass plonked on a guitar stand in the room in front of the window. I used the depth of field to make the bass stand out from the background, but apart from that, no other tricks..

As simple as they are, those pics look GREAT! I own W2710, and will post pictures over the weekend. :bassist:

The bass can be heard on the track in my sig, although my soundcloud page seems to be dead at the time that I am writing this. I'm sure it will be back up soon.
