All kidding aside: I never new Wal made a midi option. Towards the end of that Lake video, it almost sounds like he is getting a blend of the Wal pickups ( analog ) WITH the midi voicings at the same time. Now THAT is cool, If I am right here. Na, it's cool regardless! Thanks for the post.

If you have the time for lots of tracking, you can do many things. Here's an old video thats been posted before.

Or put it another way, if you need to trigger synths from your bass what would you rather be playing... a nice Wal MB-4 with no triggering delay and rock solid tracking or one of these which takes a bit of a second to work out what note it thinks you're playing...?

Well put! I am lucky enough to own a VB99, I use Ableton Live, and put a GK3 pickup system on a Warwick six that works great. And a fretless Wilcox.

I never thought about making a Wal sound like an alien toaster, but it’s good to know it’s an option! :)

So I finally broke down and ordered a new jack and going to have a local luthier make a new jack plate. I’ll keep the old Incase I ever sell it (highly doubtful I do, lol). I cant keep plugging myself when I play live. So in doing so I feel I should get a new cap also Incase the old one breaks. Any idea where to get one and what value it is?
