Wow...the Mk3 on eBay sold for less than $3800. It sucks that I forgot to do a final bid.
YOU - are a Wal research BEAST!!!

The eagle has landed! I was able to beg and plead with the usda permits department and they helped me avoid the bass going to back to the UK (it was heading back the following business day)
Guys, this bass is a work of art. No offense to the older generation of instruments, but Paul’s basses are in another league compared to the older Wals I’ve been able to own / play. They absolutely nailed my request on the neck profile too, and the bass balances perfectly even while sitting with no strap. The notes literally explode off the neck, I couldn’t be happier!

EDIT: Did Grover ever make black tuners? Just wondering what she would look like with them![]()
I like it how it is and since I’d have to drill I’ll leave it be. Just seems like it would look cool if it was all black since the bridge and body hardware are dark.
Im still a black hardware fan - one day someone is gunna make black (or coloured) fretwire too! BOOOOINGGGGG
it had a damage neck, damaged pickup and a std-hiscox case replacement just fyi....new owner will prob need to spend a bit to get it up and working again....but overall not a bad project
