Wal MK 1 Custom 1992 Honduras Mahogany | Motomusic Limited | Reverb

No I have been meaning to though will have to post them.

It popped up in a shop near me so I booked the rest of the day off work since I had never played a Wal and knew it would't be there long so took the opportunity. I wasn't going to buy it but you guys know what it's like once you've experienced it. Came home with me.

In the database it says it was owned by a Peter Collins. Anyone know if they mean the Peter Collins who produced Rush?

That would probably be my guess, I know when Rush recorded power windows that Geddy didn’t have his black Wal mk1 yet and he used Peter’s Wal mk1 and I’m pretty sure it was something similar to that if not that exact bass, though I don’t remember the exact specs... if only we could get Ged to stop by and verify for us

Back in the days of the Walbassesnaturally Yahoo Group there was a group member called Peter Collins who had a couple of Wals. As I recall about 20% of his posts were effectively him saying, “No, not THAT one!”

A recent purchase from fellow TB member BWORM who was outstanding to deal with. Very lucky to make an early inquiry to Bob and purchase this amazing instrument. This is the exact model and color scheme I was hoping to find. I also really like the Black finishes.

@TonyT careful on notes you add on your database. If I were you, only add these type of notes if you have solid proof.....adding these type of hearsay notes looks pretty bad imo. You're doing a great job with the reviving the database but some of the seemingly data entry typos and questionable notes that I've spotted just raises an eyebrow.

Agreed, @TonyT absolutely a great job on the database, not looking to be overly critical though, just helping and wanting the database not to lose credibility.

Unfortunately I’m experiencing some problems with the electronics on my bass. I’ve been in touch with Paul and after a few emails with photos and videos he suggested that it might be “best” to send the bass overseas for service. As a second choice he did send me the instructions on how to remove the electronics and send them along.
Any wisdom you can share would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone here ever sent their bass over to them from the states?
