Pro bass general specs: Solid ash body; maple, mukalungu and hornbeam laminated neck, 21 frets, rosewood fingerboard.

Pro I - one passive pickup, series/parallel switching

Pro II - two passive pickups, series/parallel switching

Pro IE - one pickup, active tone circuit, pick attack switch, low-mid boost switch

Pro IIE - two pickups, active tone circuit, pick attack switch (middle switch), low-mid boost switch for neck pickup (under neck pickup), upper-mid boost/bass cut switch for bridge pickup (under bridge pickup).

Controls: Master volume control (Pro II and Pro IIE), individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. Chrome hardware with optional XLR output, pickup selector switch (Pro II and Pro IIE).

Thanks a lot, it all makes sense much more now. Just the middle pick attack switch does not make major difference, but all the others makes completely different beast.

Yep, the Dynacord BS412 with EV15B speaker. I had the full set with the BS414 extension cabinet.
Specially for the Wal bass I had a balanced XLR input added about where the x is in this image.
So if you see one it probably has been mine!

OK so there aren’t any Wals in the video (apart from a 1/2 flash) but SBL’s Ian Allison takes a stroll through the bass on a classic Wal powered album!
