Lol!I'm trying to think of a way to refurbish it along with the logo without having to send it to Wal in the UK. I imagine the odds of getting them to send me a logo sticker alone to use without an instrument is about as likely as getting a foot massage from Elvis.
Lol!
I’ve considered getting my old paddle neck restored locally. A good luthier can do amazing work these days.
... Has anyone ever re-created the logo for such (legit) purposes?
Neat! So I could potentially make use of one of those, just cutting out the "custom bass" script portion of the label... apply it after stripping and before refinishing... I assume this goes on prior to adding the coats of poly. Do you know if the "Wal" text from this is the same size as the non-"custom bass" Wal print? Looks like it is.I had a Pro paddle neck redone and the gentleman i used had these made (it was a re-creation of the JG logos - i had him flip placement and remove J.G.). he had a healthy abundance of them.

Even if the size is the same, how about the color? Is the one above brown?

This is very encouraging. Thank you!I had a Pro paddle neck redone and the gentleman i used had these made (it was a re-creation of the JG logos - i had him flip placement and remove J.G.). he had a healthy abundance of them.

The Gallery just put up a provenance letter!the one in the video appears to be brown and the one for sale appears to be grey ...?
Just a heads up, I placed a new order in January 21', and I have yet to receive any sort of response from Wal. They are quite busy.
If it's any indication or useful data for anyone - I got a new order on the list in December 2020 before Paul stopped taking new orders. He told me a month or two ago that my estimated completion would be April 2024.Yeah, it's god's own private mystery when they'll accept any new orders. I just hope they don't pack it up before anyone else gets to place one.
