Walmart announced today that they will soon be offering customers a new discount item: Walmart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2-5 range.

Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Walmart brand into their shopping carts but "there is a market for inexpensive wine", says Kathy Micken, Professor of Marketing at Brandies University. "But the right name is important."

Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the Walmart brand. The top surveyed names in order of popularity are:

    10. Chateau Traileur Parc

    9. White Trashfindel

    8. Big Red Gulp

    7. World Championship Riesling

    6. NASCARbernet

    5. Chef Boyardeaux

    4. Peanut Noir

    3. I Can't Believe It's Not Vinegar!

    2. Grape Expectations

And the number 1 name for Walmart Wine:

    1. Nasti Spumante
  2. Marlat

Balatore is the best tasting champagne I have ever drank; retails in the 7-8 dollar range, so there is a chance albeit slight that this could be half way decent.

Who am I kidding. :D That stuff will probably blow. Whinos rejoice. :bag:

  9. "You don't have any 80-100 dollar champagne?"

"You can get a whole bunch of mum's."

I've heard the wines are designed in Germany and built in Asia. I also heard that they're copies of established wines.
  11. Might be like the $3.99 cleanskin slop we have in oz.

    (...and now, the punchline)

The beauty of Walmart wine is that it can be served with either white meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel).

  19. The sad thing about it is if they actually sold this stuff, lots of people would be buying it.
