Wal on ebay

I just run around this auction on ebay... i've never played a wal bass, from what i read aound here they are great basses but i know nothing about them... still i believe the price on this one is ridiculous... tell me if i'm wrong...

I'd rather buy a couple of Foderas for that price. I'm not sure what all the hoopla on Wals. I've played a couple of them awhile back at the old Basscentre LA, and I wasn't to impressed. The neck had that pronounced V profile which I didn't care for, and the sound was OK. If someone is in into UK made stuff, I'd rather go with a Jaydee, or even an Overwater. Just my .02 cents.

Now if it had, like, Geddy Lee's autograph and he had played it...then maybe, MAYBE it would be worth half of what he's selling it for.
Besides, it's a Wal - handmade. THEY'RE ALL ONE OF A KIND!!!

I saw a MM that Flea had autographed and played for like 7 years, and recorded all the early RHCP albums on, AND he hand-wrote the certificate of authenticity being sold by Guitar Center to benefit charity. It was only $6500. Less than half this price.

What a bunch of garbage.
I feel sorry for the poor sap who buys it.

Yes, Wal basses are amazing. But worth $15,000? Not a chance. Yes, the price/worth is rising rapidly these days, but the market value of used Wal is nowhere near that amount.

Plus, who would make a 15K transaction with a guy with 75% postive feedback? Maybe for a $15 item, not $15,000!
